Amid its grasslands, Musashino Park retains a rustic atmosphere, thanks in part to the wooded area alongside the Nogawa River. It has a nursery where seedlings are planted for subsequent transplant into other parks or along streets in Tokyo, and you can note their growth as you stroll around. Spring brings a prolonged period of cherry blossoms, as various varieties bloom in sequence, while in autumn, the maple leaves along the Nogawa River turn a beautiful hue of red. The Musashino Park Fountain (Jabu-jabu Pond) is especially popular with children during Golden Week and summer. The park’s spacious field is another recommended spot that you’re sure to enjoy. Walk through 5,000 trees, including cherry and maple varieties, at Musashino Park. While you're here, pitch a few balls at the baseball field and hold a barbecue with friends.
