Sengenyama Park 都立浅間山公園

5 chome Wakamatsucho / 4 chome Sengencho, Fuchu City, Tokyo

A park on a small hill remaining from the Tama Plateau

The Tama Plateau was worn away by the old Tamagawa and other rivers, leaving behind a small hill with three crests: Doyama (altitude approx. 80m), Nakayama and Maeyama.
Musashino-kisuge flowers, which grow naturally only in Sengenyama Park, can be seen around mid-May, bringing new color to the park. Around the start of July, golden-rayed lilies bloom and delight the eyes of park visitors. Selected as one of the best 100 views of Mt. Fuji in the Kanto area, the magnificent mountain can be seen from this park on clear winter days.
