Akiru Jinja Shrine 阿伎留神社

1081 Itsukaichi, Akiruno-shi, Tokyo

This shrine dates back over 1,000 years. For three days at the end of September every year, an annual festival is held, where locals carry a large hexagonal portable shrine around five towns in the parish, and engage in a lively lion dance performance.
