This shrine, together with the nearby Ninomiya Castle, are designated historic sites in Tokyo. Every year on September 8th and 9th, the Ginger Festival is held. During the festival, a portable shrine is carried through the streets, and there are stalls selling ginger and other festival food around the temple.
