Ninomiya Jinja Shrine 二宮神社

2252 Ninomiya, Akiruno-shi, Tokyo

This shrine, together with the nearby Ninomiya Castle, are designated historic sites in Tokyo. Every year on September 8th and 9th, the “Ginger Festival” is held, during which a portable shrine is carried through the streets, and there are stalls selling ginger and other festival food surrounding the temple.
