A waterfall that takes some getting to
Hyakuhironotaki Falls is one of Tokyo's most impressive waterfalls. Located in the nature-rich Okutama valley, this waterfall is most popular in summer and autumn when the leaves are the most colorful. With water plunging down from a height of 40 meters, Hyakuhronotaki Falls gives you some serious soul-cleansing.
Getting to the waterfall is not easy, however. Hiking to the spot takes about 1.5 hours from the trailhead, and the trail can get quite steep. Be well-equipped and carry plenty of water and snacks.
