Mr. Shinichiro Kawai was born in the Setagaya Ward in Tokyo. After working for the Japan Foundation's Art Division, Mr. Kawai moved to Canada and established Japan Communications, a company specializing in translation and cross-cultural communication, in 1984. In addition to working on promoting Japanese tourism to the Canadian market, the company provides consulting services to Canadian companies engaged in business with Japan. Over the years, Mr. Kawai has worked on a number of cultural exchange projects including various music and theatre groups from Japan.

I have been engaged in tourism industry for more than 25 years so far and have gained rich experience in the areas from travel agent operation, product planning to tour operation, etc.. Years of experience in tourism industry has helped me to build a wide-range of connections and high level of trust relationship with the local Chinese travel agencies, the Chinese government tourism authorities and the Chinese and Japanese media.
