Inokashira Park Zoo 東京都井の頭自然文化園

1-17-6 Gotenyama, Musashino City, Tokyo

A unique cultural spot with both a zoo and a sculpture garden

Inokashira Park Zoo covers approximately one third of Inokashira Park in Kichijoji.

Aside from animal exhibits such as Squirrel Trail, where you can observe Japanese squirrels up close, and Aquatic Life House, featuring a wide variety of freshwater animals, the zoo is also dotted with various sights worth seeing, including a sculpture museum with approximately 200 works by Seibo Kitamura, a wild grass garden, a rhododendron garden and a Japanese camellia garden. Other popular spots to enjoy include a mini-amusement park area, Doshinkyo, the removed and reconstructed reading room of poet Ujo Noguchi, and more.
