Tachikawa Park 立川公園

How to Get There

  • Shibasaki-taiikukan Sta. | 1 min on foot
  • Tama Monorail

Take a long walk along the stream

Using the 1.3-kilometer-long Negawa Greenery Road as the axis, Tachikawa Park covers a large area that spreads across Shibazaki and Nishiki neighborhoods. The park is well-equipped with a gym, a baseball ground and a track and field stadium.

The Negawa Greenery Road is a popular leisure walk as it follows a dynamic stream. The stream flows from Zanbori River and ends as it merges with Tama River. There are deep and shallow zones of the stream. At the shallower zones, watch children play in the water square, or try to spot some precious aquatic life. If you come around April, you may even see cherry blossoms crowding the banks of the stream.
