Sogaku Gorge 惣岳渓谷

Sakai, Okutama-machi, Tokyo

A nostalgic, gorgeous valley near Tokyo

Sogaku Gorge is deep, and is surrounded by lots of vegetation all year-round.
The Okutama Mukashi-michi trail is very popular. The trail goes along the old Ome Kaido road and is dotted with great things to see, from historic shrines to venerable old trees. The course will also take you across the 67.15 meter-long Shidakurabashi Bridge. From the top of the suspension bridge, you will see the beautiful Sogaku Valley.
