Journey to Japan's premier science museum, nicknamed "Miraikan," to learn about humanity's relationship to the universe and the cutting-edge technologies taking us into the future.
"Geo-Cosmos," the Miraikan Museum's most iconic exhibition, is a stunning three-dimensional rendition of Earth as it shines in outer space. It has a resolution that exceeds 10 million pixels. The model also displays images of clouds flowing across the screen that reflect current geographical data taken by satellites each day, allowing you to see Earth's current state. At the Dome Theater, enjoy another three-dimensional video display, projected onto the Dome's roof, of "The Man from the 9 Dimensions," a work centered on the theme of "The theory of everything." Head over to the planetarium to enjoy another work, "Birthday - What Links the Universe and Me," to witness beautiful, realistic images of space.
Miraikan is located in Odaiba, surrounded by abundant attractions and shopping, including indoor arcade and theme park Joypolis, AQUA CiTY, and Rainbow Bridge. Consider spending an entire afternoon and evening shopping, playing, and taking in the beautiful sights across Tokyo Bay.
