Hakkiyoi! Sekitori-kun Custom-Designed Manhole Cover 「ハッキヨイ!せきトリくん」デザインマンホール

In the vicinity of 1-3 Yokoami, Sumida City, Tokyo

Approximately 5 minutes' walk from Ryogoku Station, you will find a manhole cover featuring the Japan Sumo Association official mascot characters, "Hakkiyoi! Sekitori-kun." They are birds and symbolize good luck for sumo wrestlers, who lose a match if they touch the ground with their hands. Birds have no hands and always stand on their two feet!
