Musashiseki Park is the second largest of Nerima City's public parks. This well-known park is full of trees that are representative of the Musashino area. The park is home to Fujimi Pond, which was once called Seki-no-Tamei. During the Taisho era (1912-26), the pond area started to be known as Wakamiya Yuen. Local residents began using the pond for recreation, and boating facilities were built. The location became a public park in October 1938, and it received the name Musashiseki Park. Administration of the park was transferred from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to Nerima City Government in April 1975.
From spring cherry blossoms to autumn leaves, you can enjoy the sights of each season while walking along the path that goes around the pond. It's also a great spot for birdwatching.
