Chokoku-ji Temple 長國寺

3-19-6 Senzoku, Taito City, Tokyo

Visit Chokoku-ji Temple for its famous open-air market Asakusa Tori-no-Ichi held every November. This festival has been held for about 250 years and attracts many people who come to pray for good luck and prosperity in business. At the temple, enjoy the bustling atmosphere as people buy up kumade rakes, an item said to bring good luck.
Each June, the summer rendition of the Tori-no-Ichi festival is held, known as the Iki-iki Ajisai Festival. Visitors can buy hydrangeas, or simply enjoy looking at the variety of rare hydrangeas gathered from around Japan for this event.
