The Toyosu Fish Market opened on October 11, 2018. Restaurants, shops and observation areas are open to the general public. There are 39 sushi restaurants, all of which were highly regarded establishments at Tsukiji Market, Toyosu's predecessor. Twenty-two of them are on the third floor of Toyosu's Intermediate Seafood Wholesale Market, 13 are on the third floor of the Administration Building, and four are on the first floor of the Fruit and Vegetable Market.

One of the best things to do at Toyosu is to watch a live tuna auction from the dedicated viewing area in the Wholesale Seafood Market.
Over at the Intermediate Seafood Wholesale Market, there are 70 stores selling everything from specialist tools to seaweed and dried fish in the Uogashi Alley shopping street. Head upstairs to find a rooftop garden, where you can sit on the green lawns and take in views of Odaiba and Tokyo Tower.
