Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) was one of the leading artists of the Art Nouveau movement. His stunning posters have maintained their appeal around the world to this day, 80 years after his death. In addition to Mucha’s posters and other graphic art, this exhibition includes a look at literary magazines during the Meiji-era that were greatly influenced by his work, as well as pieces that were behind the major graphic art movements of America’s west coast and London in the 1960s. This also exhibits around 250 works including graphic art and manga from Japan. Unlock the secrets behind Mucha’s enduring appeal throughout the ages.
