Looking back over 20 years of work, her largest ever exhibition

Shiota Chiharu, a Berlin-based artist who works internationally, is well-known for her performance and installation pieces that express abstract ideas. This exhibition is the largest ever dedicated solely to Shiota, and focuses on six large-scale installations. It is the first chance for people to look back at 20 years of Shiota’s works through sculpture, performance videos, photographs, drawings and materials related to stage design. The subtitle, “The Soul Trembles”, refers to the artist’s desire to communicate the essence of experiences that make the heart tremble meaning when moved by an emotion, it can’t be expressed in words.
