The 2025 Tachikawa Illumination is an immersive event that lets visitors enjoy the Tachikawa winter amidst sparkling lights. The main venue, San San Road, is a pedestrian-only path from the north exit of Tachikawa Station and a symbolic spot popular with local residents. During the illuminations, this road takes on a festive atmosphere with wind ensemble performances from local students as well as market events. Nearby Midoricho Park is also bright with lights and transforms into a gathering place where people can meet and interact. Plus, there are also countless other initiatives making this stroll more exciting, such as a photo posting campaign and special projects planned in partnership with local stores and restaurants.
Note: This event is sponsored by the Tokyo Nightlife Tourism Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
