Bamboo Lantern Festival in East Tokyo will be held in Sumida Ward, lighting up Tokyo’s nostalgic downtown area with the gentle glow of bamboo lanterns. The main venues are the Sumida River Walk and the Kitajikken River Terrace at TOKYO mizumachi. During the event period, a variety of related activities will take place, including a waterfront concert in collaboration with the Sumida City Tourism Association, a bamboo lantern cruise and workshops, and a bamboo lantern market featuring many local shops and exhibitors. Enjoy a magical evening in Tokyo’s downtown, beautifully illuminated by these enchanting lights.
