In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
This year, the annual "Sakura and Pear Blossom Festival" is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and in honor of this event, a stretch of about 300 meters of cherry blossom trees along Inagi City's beloved Misawa River will be lit up.
This year, the Sakura and Pear Blossom Festival will be held on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5, but the cherry blossom light-up event will begin slightly earlier, on Monday, March 23. For more illumination events, visit Yomiuri Land, Inagi City's largest leisure facility. Or for even more cherry blossom trees, try the cycling trail along the Tama River.
Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Spring Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Please check the official event website for the latest updates on opening dates and times, prices, and other information.
