In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
Otonashi Shinsui Park, designated as one of Japan's 100 most beautiful urban parks, will feature wonderful illumination of its colorful autumn foliage.
Following the popularity of the illumination of the spring cherry blossoms, the park will now hold a fall version of the event.
LED lights will shine from the zelkova and maple trees surrounding the Otonashi Bridge over an old stream of the Shakujiigawa River. This will create a uniquely enticing atmosphere with a different feel than during the daytime.
Other nearby attractions in the Kita City area include Asukayama Park and Ojijinja Shrine, which have their own charms waiting to be discovered.
Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Autumn Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Please check the official event website for the latest updates on opening dates and times, prices, and other information.
