Just outside of Toritsu-daigaku Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line is a row of cherry blossom (sakura) trees. This area has long been a popular spot for locals to come and enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring. Illuminations will be installed with the theme, "lights that connect the town, river, and cherry blossoms." For the event's third year, the lit-up area will be expanded. As an event rooted in the local community, it will display lamps crafted by local elementary school students, and offer visitors the chance to participate in some activities. A cherry blossom festival held on 28-29 March will feature music and dance performances, as well as various stalls to shop at.
