In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
This display of lights spans the 320 meters of cherry blossom trees on Daigaku-dori Road, just outside the South Exit of Kunitachi Station on the JR Chuo Line.
Various types of cherry blossom trees, including Somei-Yoshino and kanzakura, bloom along both sides of the road. Illuminated by the lights, the cherry blossoms create a spectacle for all to enjoy.
In early April, the Kunitachi Cherry Blossom Festival and the Kunitachi-Tachikawa Cherry Blossom Walk will take place, among other events.
Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Spring Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
