The Megurogawa River, with rows of cherry blossom trees lining its banks, is one of Tokyo's most popular spots during cherry blossom season. The blooms create a pale pink arch that appears to be floating above the river. The area between the Horaibashi Bridge and Tenjinbashi Bridge will be lit up with Japanese paper lanterns for nighttime cherry blossom viewing. In early April, the Nakameguro Cherry Blossom Festival will also take place, with various local businesses setting up booths. Wander around here and the chic shops nearby to get the full Nakameguro cherry blossom experience.
Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Spring Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
