Come to Hachijojima Island, which is roughly 300 km south of mainland Tokyo, for the annual Freesia Festival. The mere sight of these colorful freesia blossoms soothes the soul, as the flowers' fragrance fills the air. Check out the Freesia Cafe, where you can relax, recharge, and indulge your sweet tooth with some local specialties. The festival also has an area where you can pick flowers for free. What's more, you'll find a market selling Hachijojima's specialties—starting with freesias, of course.
