61th Kanda Used Book Festival 第61回東京名物 神田古本まつり

Kanda-Jinbocho Used Bookstore Street, Kanda-Jinbocho, Chiyoda City, Tokyo
Late October 2020 - Early November 2020

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.

In Jinbocho, between the Surugadai and Sendaimae crossroads of Kanda, the streets are lined with dozens of used bookstores. This is the venue for the annual Kanda Used Book Festival, the biggest marketplace for secondhand books in Japan. Seemingly endless rows of bookshelves are set up in a line along Yasukuni Dori, the main street. Meanwhile, just around the corner at the Tokyo Used Book Hall, there will be a special sale of rare and valuable books. Other special events include a mini-festival focused on book ownership stamps. Delivery services are available, so you can buy stacks of hardbacks, safe in the knowledge that you won't need to carry them all home.

Cancelled in case of rain
