Azabu-Juban has a lively, artsy, old-fashioned feel, but it is also a bustling international area dotted with modern skyscrapers.
For more than 40 years now, the Azabu-Juban Shopping Arcade, the pillar of this energetic neighborhood, has hosted the Azabu-Juban Noryo Festival. "Noryo" means "cool of the evening," and noryo festivals are a Japanese summer tradition.
The festival, which is being held for the first time in three years, mainly takes place on Patio-dori Street and Zoshiki-dori Street. Stalls are run by local businesses and well-known traditional shops. You'll be able to sample classic festival snacks such as cotton candy and shaved ice. Visitors can also try games and activities like target shooting and goldfish scooping. It's a perfect way to spend the evening as a family.
