Chofu is nicknamed "Movie Town" because it's a prime location for filming, and many film companies are based there. Fittingly, its "Hanabillusion" (combining "hanabi"—the Japanese word for "fireworks"—and "illusion") festival features fireworks set to music, from movie tunes to popular songs. Approximately 10,000 fireworks brighten the night sky, including large star mines that go up to No. 8 in shell size. Against the stunning natural backdrop of the Tamagawa River, this fireworks display makes for a beautiful, unforgettable sight.
There are three paid seating areas available: pair seats for groups of two, table seats for groups of four, and box seats for groups of ten. Pick your seating based on your group size and preference!
