The 300-meter-long ginkgo-lined avenue at Meiji Jingu Gaien is a celebrated spot for admiring autumn foliage. The Jingu Gaien Ginkgo Festival, timed to coincide with the peak of the ginkgo season, attracts large crowds with family events as well as stalls offering gourmet food and fine merchandise. Take in the spectacular golden yellow tunnel created by 146 ginkgo trees against the stately Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, and stroll among the majestic blanket of fallen leaves covering the ground.
