In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), various facilities around Tokyo may change their operating days or hours. In addition, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check official facility or event websites for the latest updates and information.
The Marunouchi Illumination, now in its 21st year, will light up over 340 trees along Naka-dori Street with around 1.2 million champagne gold LEDs. The display will stretch about 1.2 km from the Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan building in front of Yurakucho Station to Otemachi-dori Street. This year, the spacious Tokyo Torch Park will also be illuminated. It's located in front of Tokiwabashi Tower, a new landmark near the Nihonbashi exit of Tokyo Station.
As part of continuing efforts towards protecting the environment, the event will make use of energy from renewable sources, such as solar and wind power.
Note: The timing or content of the event may be subject to change based on the situation surrounding COVID-19.
