The “fireworks of Adachi” have about 100 years of history, and each year the area bustles with people who come to see the first fireworks festival of the summer in Tokyo. Against the backdrop of Arakawa River, 12,000 fireworks are launched in a period of just one hour, so visitors can enjoy fireworks with plenty of impact. An attractive feature of this event is the fact that the venues are riverbanks so it is possible to see the fireworks in a relaxed manner while sitting on the bankside, etc.

Opening Hours

  • 19:30–20:30
  • The event may be cancelled in bad weather.
