Tokyo Metropolitan Ueno Park 上野恩賜公園

5-20 Ueno-koen, Taito-ku, Tokyo

Quite possibly Tokyo's most cultured park

Ueno Park is home to several of Tokyo's most prestigious museums, a popular zoo, hundreds of cherry trees that bloom in late March and a host of other attractions including the remains of a once towering statue of Buddha.

It’s well worth setting aside a day to explore the park’s main attractions and many fringe attractions which include the bustling market stalls and shops of Ameyoko.
