Named after amazake, the sweet sake that was once sold at the entrance of the street, Amazake Yokocho is a small shopping strip that runs through Nihombashi. Along the street you'll find a variety of vendors selling traditional snacks, classic Japanese and contemporary restaurants, and a select range of retail outlets.
Maintaining a distinctly old-world Japanese atmosphere, the street is a pleasant place for an afternoon stroll, and worth visiting for dinner if you're in the area. Consider combining a visit to Amazake Yokocho with a walk along the nearby Sumida River and a visit to Koami Shrine.
