If you're a fan of underground and independent cinema, be sure to add Uplink to your Tokyo itinerary. Located in a back alley of Shibuya, just a few minutes away from Yoyogi Park and NHK Studio Park, this cinema randomly screens indie productions, documentaries, short films and experimental video projects.
You can grab a coffee or lunch at the cinema's on-site cafe and browse the free exhibitions held in the cinema's first-floor gallery space before or after your movie.
For a deeper dive into the local creative scene, check out the second-floor market, where you can find books and merchandise connected with the films being screened.
Varies per exhibition or screening
For updated information on opening hours, closings, prices, and more, please check the official website or ask the facility directly.
