The museum is a top class private art museum in regard to its volume and quality, possessing about 7400 collections of Japanese and Oriental antique arts that include seven items designated as National Treasures and 87 Important Cultural Properties. The Japanese garden of about 20,000 m2 dotted with tea ceremony rooms, the museum shop lined with original goods, and a café shop are also popular.
