Together with Toda City on the other side of the river, a total of 12,000 fireworks are launched. One feature of this festival is that many large fireworks are launched, including No. 15 fireworks, which are among the largest in Tokyo. Also, the launching site is close to the viewing site, so it is possible to feel the impact of the fireworks going off in one’s stomach. Other fireworks to be launched will include “artistic fireworks” that have been made by the top pyro-technicians in Japan, a 700-meter long “Niagara Falls” fireworks display that is among the largest of its kind in the Kanto region, and Pokémon fireworks, and thus visitors can enjoy an attractive and high-quality program. A variety of reserved seats (fee-based) are available including “prime seats,” which enable visitors to see the fireworks go off right before their eyes, and “groups seats” where visitors can relax together with friends and family.
