A great location, just one minute from the nearest subway station

Enjoy Tokyo Nights from An “Urban Oasis”

The guiding concept of the hotel is that of an “urban oasis.” Combining Japanese sensibility with stylish functionality, the hotel provides a convenient base for both business and leisure travelers and aims to provide a comfortable and pleasant accommodation experience.

Akasaka, a location convenient for both business and pleasure

Internet-enabled computer in the hotel lobby (charges apply)

Located conveniently within a one or two minute walk from two subway stations, Akasaka-mitsuke and Nagata-cho, the Akasaka Excel Hotel Tokyu occupies the basement to 14th floors of the Tokyu Plaza Akasaka. Other floors in the building house a 24-hour convenience store and various other shops and restaurants, so guests can enjoy convenient shopping and dining even on rainy days or when they just wish to relax in their rooms. Akasaka is an old neighborhood in the center of Tokyo that has long been home to foreign embassies, government offices, and the headquarters of major companies as well as many temples, shrines, and gardens. In the neighborhood around the hotel are Japan’s National Diet Building and National Diet Library as well as various entertainment spots including the TBS Broadcasting Center and the BLITZ live music club and ACT Theater in the Akasaka Sacas complex. Nearby religious sites such as Hie Shrine, a major Shinto shrine that dates to Japan’s Edo period, and Toyokawa Inari, which houses both a Buddhist temple and Shinto shrine, are also popular with overseas visitors.

Twenty types of guest room to satisfy any preference

With three different sizes of beds available (single, double, and twin), the hotel offers a total of twenty different types of guest room. The diverse range of room types available runs from standard rooms to suites, including “comfort rooms” with in-room massage chairs and “large twin” rooms furnished with Tokyo Nishikawa mattresses, which are known in Japan for their high quality. Particularly recommended are the six “premiere twin” rooms on the 10th floor. All of these rooms are on the side of the hotel that faces the official residence of the Speaker of the National Diet and offer views of the residence’s beautiful garden. The guest room toilets and baths are separated by glass, giving the rooms an open, airy atmosphere. Shoji paper doors give the rooms a subtle Japanese feeling, and the spacious, relaxing rooms also include luxuries like espresso machines, BOSE speaker systems, and multi-directional “three way” showers.
