Overview
Akigawa is the largest tributary of the Tama river flowing through the capital region. The region along the 20 kilometers stretching from Akiruno City to Hinohara Village is called the Akigawa Keikoku Valley. The forests of the Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park expand from the area of Akiruno City, changing appearance with each season and giving many opportunities to experience the awe of nature’s wonders.
