The Kubosō Memorial Museum of Arts in Izumi, Osaka, houses the collection of Eastern antiques made up of Japanese and Chinese paintings, calligraphy, and craft pieces, accumulated by the Kubosō cotton weaving company which was in operatin in Izumi from the Meiji era to Showa era. From that museum’s extensive collection of prized pieces, this exhibition showcases carefully selected works of Japanese and Chinese art, including Kamakura era picture scrolls, the national treasure “Celadon Vase with phoenix handles, Longquan ware, known as ‘Bonsei’”, as well as items designated as important cultural properties.
