Sanyabori in Oku-Asakusa Blushes Pink: Cherry Blossom Illuminations with Arches 櫻艶に染まる奥浅草・山谷堀 ~櫻のライトアップ with 桜艶アーチ~

Sanyabori Park, Taito City, Tokyo
2019-3-29 - 2019-4-7

The long, narrow Sanyabori Park was created by covering over the Sanyabori culvert in 1975. This new spring illuminations project highlights the unassuming Oku-Asakusa neighborhood. The lights will add a mystical atmosphere to Oku-Asakusa's cherry blossoms. The elegant beauty of the trees recreates the waterside views of this bustling area before land reclamation began.

Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Spring Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
