The long, narrow Sanyabori Park was created by covering over the Sanyabori culvert in 1975. This new spring illuminations project highlights the unassuming Oku-Asakusa neighborhood. The lights will add a mystical atmosphere to Oku-Asakusa's cherry blossoms. The elegant beauty of the trees recreates the waterside views of this bustling area before land reclamation began.
Note: This event is sponsored in part by the Spring Illuminations Model Business Grant, a program run jointly by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention and Visitors Bureau.
