Note: The 2023 installment of this event has already taken place.
Tokyo's massive Dream Yosacoy Festival features 5,000 dancers in teams from across Japan and around the world. The festival showcases yosakoi, a style of dance using naruko clappers with roots in traditional Japanese culture. Alongside the performances in Tokyo's Odaiba and Marunouchi areas, there will be YouTube livestreams and cutting-edge "metaverse VR 360° seats" for remote viewers.
This year, the festival is coordinating with Japan Mobility Show 2023 for the first time to bring you dance performances. It will also incorporate traditional yosakoi naruko dance with new elements, such as Vtubers. In addition to free viewing opportunities, there will be "platinum" reserved seats.
