Note: The 2023 installment of this event has already taken place.
The Edogawa City Fireworks Festival is being held for the first time in four years. The event features a signature opening act, where a thousand fireworks explode in five seconds and a spectacular vision of Mt. Fuji appears.
Edogawa City has been pursuing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This year's fireworks display has the theme of "SDGs for Everyone: Towards A Future Together" and will feature the colors of the SDGs wheel symbol along with colors representing Edogawa City's water and greenery. The festival will livestream a program to raise awareness of SDGs, and create opportunities for attendees to take action to help achieve the goals.
The event is held concurrently with the Ichikawa Citizens Noryo Fireworks Festival.
