Tachikawa Festival and Fireworks at Showa Kinen Park 立川まつり国営昭和記念公園花火大会

3173 Midoricho, Tachikawa-shi, Tokyo
2023-7-29

Note: The 2023 installment of this event has already taken place.

"Tachikawa Festival and Fireworks at Showa Kinen Park" was first held in 1954, and has been a popular local event ever since. A variety of fireworks are launched, including plenty of high-impact variants. These include 1.5-shakudama (45 cm) fireworks that explode into flowers of fire about 400 meters in diameter, and gorgeous star mines that cover the entire sky.

You can also enjoy a fireworks competition that can only be seen at this event. It features outstanding, artistic, and innovatively designed fireworks that have performed well in national competitions. Relax and have a leisurely time watching the fireworks on a spacious field in this sprawling park.
