Michio Miyagi Memorial Hall 宮城道雄記念館

35 Nakamachi, Shinjuku City, Tokyo

This is Japan's first memorial hall to celebrate a musician. Michio Miyagi, who became blind when he was eight, invented the 80-stringed koto and was the co-founder of the New Japanese Music Movement. Relive this master's life through CDs, DVDs, and documents—many of which are now Japan's tangible cultural properties.
