Arakawa Yuen あらかわ遊園

6-35-11 Nishi-Ogu, Arakawa City, Tokyo

A nostalgic amusement park with attractions for the whole family

“Arakawa Yuen” has been extensively renovated, and reopened in April 2022. It is just a three-minute walk from Arakawa Yuenchi-mae Station on the Toden Arakawa Line.

Large amusement facilities, such as a 40-meter-high Ferris wheel and a mini railway that traverses the park, have been revamped; a new indoor play area has been added, and a former Toden streetcar has been repurposed as a café. Some perennial favorites – such as “Family Coaster” – have been retained along with other attractions. The “Animal Plaza,” where visitors can interact with animals, and “Wakuwaku Park,” an indoor playground, are also popular; while in summer, visitors can have fun in the “Water Playground.” This is a new downtown amusement park with a nostalgic feel.
