Jiyugakuen Myonichikan 自由学園明日館

2-31-3 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima City, Tokyo

The Jiyugakuen Myonichikan building was formerly a school for girls which was established in 1921. It is now a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan. It was designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who is regarded as a master of modern architecture. The design is notable for its use of geometric patterns. The C-shape of the building partially encloses a green lawn, creating a peaceful atmosphere that contrasts with its location in Ikebukuro.
Nowadays, in addition to tours, many people come to the building for marriage ceremonies, seminars, discussion meetings, concerts, and public lectures.
