Izu-misaki Lighthouse 伊豆岬灯台

Miyake Village, Tokyo

The white, historic lighthouse that adds a romantic atmosphere to Izu-misaki

The Izu-misaki Lighthouse was built in 1909. It's known for its unusual square shape and the views it offers of the surrounding ocean and islands. From the lighthouse, you can see Niijima and Kozushima Islands, and on clear days, as far as Mt. Fuji. This spot is particularly popular for its sunset and nighttime views.

You can walk from the lighthouse down to the coast and there are benches perfect for gazing at the endless blue ocean.
