Meiji University’s Yoshihiro Yonezawa Memorial Library of Manga and Subcultures has one of the largest collections in Japan. It holds approximately 410,000 individual manga and magazines, etc., from the collections of Yoshihiro Yonezawa, the manga critic who founded Comic Market, and Toshio Naiki, who ran a book-lending shop in Tokyo and established the first manga library in Japan in 1978. You can also enjoy browsing the debuts and early works from manga artists now positioned at the forefront of their field.
Please be aware that items with a publication date older than 1979 may not be viewed by visitors with a one-day pass.
