Tokyo Kodomo-ku Kodomo-no-Yu is a unique indoor playground for kids designed to look like a traditional Japanese public bath, but filled with thousands of plastic balls instead of water. This is for younger children, as those over the age of eight are not permitted in the ball pit. However, parents with older kids need not worry—there is also a climbing wall, pingpong tables, and a festival pavilion where kids can play traditional Japanese festival games.
Another highlight is the shopping street where kids can pretend to be owners and customers of Japanese stores and food stalls. For parents looking to relax, there are massage chairs and refreshments available. You'll probably want to set aside at least an hour to play here. Check out the nearby Sumida Aquarium or Tokyo Skytree while you're in the area for a full day of fun.
