Yumenoshima Park 夢の島公園

1 and 2 chome, Yumenoshima, Koto City, Tokyo

For some years after World War II, the beach at Yumenoshima Park was referred to as "the Hawaii of Tokyo." However, during the post-war period of rapid economic and population growth, this area also began to be used for garbage processing and disposal. To compensate the residents of Koto City, the Tokyo government built a park, gymnasium, stadium, baseball field, and greenhouse here at their request.
Today, the park is home to a variety of tropical plants like eucalyptus trees, palm trees, and cockspur coral trees. There's also a tropical greenhouse on the grounds.
