Inspirational poetry and calligraphy at the Mitsuo Aida Museum

The Mitsuo Aida Museum is dedicated to the work of calligrapher and poet Mitsuo Aida. It is located inside the Tokyo International Forum in the Marunouchi district of Tokyo—just a few minutes' walk from Tokyo Station.

The museum displays Aida's original calligraphy in a quiet and tranquil atmosphere. His works were highly influenced by Zen and imbued with inspirational themes on the preciousness of life. Many of Aida's poems have been translated into English and the museum displays the English versions alongside the Japanese. Schedule in a couple of hours to view the museum's displays and browse the gift shop.
